Baxter Peak of the Katahdin massif, located at 5,269ft.
Hand drawn from my memories of ascending just moments before thick clouds tumbled in and engulfed the summit cap, luckily for me – I could look over and see my next destination (just left of the summit sign), Hamlin Peak. On the descent rumbles of thunder crackled through the horizon which helped to put a little more pep into my step down off the gigantic mountain. Certainly a day I’ll never forget, and now you can have a little slice of Katahdin in postcard form!
Send a copy to a mountain-lover in your life, or just hang it in your office and remember the magical day that you too climbed the monumental peak; Katahdin, northern most peak on the Appalachian Trail!
